Phyllis Lucy - My Welsh Grandmother

Earlier this week, I visited my Welsh grandmother’s grave. Phyllis Lucy died on the 2nd January 1941, together with her parents, George and Lucy Vaughan when their home was destroyed in an air raid on Cardiff. My dear dad was only 9. He was badly injured and lost most of his sight - he was the only survivor in the terrace. Phyllis Lucy and her parents were buried in a civic service at Cathys Cemetery. There is a mass gravestone marking the resting place of some of those who lost their lives on that terrible night. Rest in peace Phyllis Lucy, George, Lucy and everyone else xx
