Thursday Therapy

Yet another splendid Thursday evening kayak trip.  Craig, Claire, Robbie and I met at Warsash.  We launched, and ran into Mike and Mash, with Sapphire lashed to the scrubbing piles and a jet spray cleaning off barnacles.

We headed out into a rather stiff breeze to the mouth of the Hamble.  We decided that conditions were a little windy for crossing Southampton Water, so we turned left and paddled along the familiar coastline towards Hill Head.  It was just after low water, and the shallows extended well offshore.

We paddled as far as our favourite red post, a little way past the caravan park, then pulled up on the beach for a picnic.  Coop sandwiches for me, coconut macaroons for Craig, a feast in a box for Claire, and a gourmet meal cooked on the beach for Robbie!

After tea, we paddled back into a beautiful sunset, with the refinery silhouted in the distance.  Round the corner and back into Warsash.  Marvellous!!!!
